Notes: 1) Casual chess occurs every Wednesday. No casual chess on November 23 or December 14 due to Thanksgiving and bad weather, respectively. Any other cancellation of the casual chess will be posted on the PCC website. 2) The schedule is always subject to change. 3) The Newport June Open will not be run this year (it may return next year). 4) The annual Clark Harmon Memorial Open rotates between Oregon and Washington and is being run by the Washington Chess Federation in Seattle this year. 5) The Game in 60 usually takes place on the last Saturday each month. The April, May, November, and December Game in 60’s are earlier to avoid competing with the OSCF State Championship, Washington Open, Washington Class Championships, and New Year’s Eve & Christmas Eve, respectively. 6) The Quad 45 usually takes place on the third Saturday each month. The May, November, and December Quad 45’s are earlier to avoid competing with the May Game in 60 & Rose City Sectionals, November Game in 60, and December Game in 60 & Portland Winter Open, respectively. 7) The Tuesday Quads usually start on the first Tuesday each month. No Tuesday Quads in October due to the Club Championship. 8) All of the above tournaments are sponsored and run by the Portland Chess Club except this years Oregon State Championship & Invitational, Oregon Senior Open, and Oregon Class Championships which are sponsored and run by the Oregon Chess Federation, the Oregon Open scholastic side-event which is sponsored and run by the Oregon Scholastic Chess Federation, and the Vancouver Open which is sponsored by the Washington Chess Federation. This year’s Oregon Open is co-sponsored and run with the Oregon Chess Federation.
